It's not a literal jungle - I can't up and leave all my responsibilities, nor do i think God would have me do that - but a violent, day by day, night by night, pursuit of God's face, His will, His heart and His smile. This is the most important thing. Before this there is no other.

God, bring me to a place of reckoning with my ways.

And changing them.

Catch for us the foxes,
the little foxes
that ruin the vineyards,
our vineyards that are in bloom

this is the hard part. when you ask God to "shake everything that can be shaken" and He does.

the "little foxes" are areas in my life where I don't reflect Jesus. He is asking me to remove these things so I can look more like Him and bring glory to His Name. these foxes don't refer to huge sin, but to areas of compromise or vices I may not have even known about! this is a painful process, but God is faithful. He provides Grace when I need it most. please pray for me as He and I walk together.

tomorrow around this time i'll be getting ready to board a flight. "where are you going?" you may ask. "i'm going to europe" would be my reply, which would be followed by a huge smile. i'm flying into paris france with 10 others of my friends and family. we're all going to a wedding in mittersill austria. it's actually mary beth's older sister maridyth who is getting married. we're all very excited for her. i'm excited too! i get to go out of the country for the first time. i have a passport and everything!! i'll show you some photos and video when i get back! aren't you excited? i am.

hey everybody! man... what a couple of weeks these last have been, and i still have a couple more to go.

for those interested, since leaving inhabited i have been working fulltime as an audio/visual installation technician. i have also been playing bass at church and doing lots of intercessory worship, like this coming sunday, October 8th, at CityFest Houston, where the friday night intercession team from New Haven House of Prayer (of which i am a part) will be leading an intercession set at CityFest from 6pm to 8pm. i am also involved in training musicians, singers and prayer leaders who are new to intercessory worship. AND i am leading a worship service at The Crossing church coming up on October 11th with good friends The Methods and Maggie Marion. it's going to be cool.

so, i'm busy... but who isn't? God is faithful to supply everything i need. i know He is able to make all this happen. His name will be glorified when it's all over.
